The latest weekly United States Mint numismatic product sales report includes the debut figures for the 2015 America the Beautiful Quarters Proof Set and the Harry S. Truman Presidential Dollar products. Many numismatic gold products also saw large negative adjustments this week.
The US Mint opened sales for the 2015 America the Beautiful Quarters Proof Set on February 3, 2015. The set includes proof quarters struck at the San Francisco Mint featuring Homestead National Monument of America, Kitsatchie National Forest, Blue Ridge Parkway, Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge, and Saratoga National Historical Park. The sets were priced at $14.95 with no stated product or household ordering limits imposed.
Through the reporting date of February 8, orders have been received for 42,741 sets. This represents a small increase from the debut sales figure for last year’s set, which had opened at 39,306.
On February 5, the US Mint began accepting orders for products containing circulating quality examples of the 2015 Harry S. Truman Presidential Dollars. The products included 25-coin rolls, 100-coin bags, and 250-coin boxes containing coins from either the Philadelphia or Denver Mint. The most popular sellers by unit volume were the 25-coin rolls, while the 250-coin boxes moved the largest amount of $1 coins. Across all options, opening sales accounted for 1,994,850 of the Harry S. Truman Presidential Dollars.
This week’s report also includes a large number of negative changes particularly for numismatic gold products. The First Spouse Gold Coins saw negative sales of 806 units across all options. Typically, negative figures occur when order cancellations or returns outnumber new sales for the week, but in this case the reason for the significant adjustments is not clear.
The complete US Mint numismatic product sales report appears below. The figures are compiled through February 8, 2015. The first number column represents total sales through the reporting date, and the second number column represents the change in sales since the last report. Products listed in bold make their debut on this report. Products with sales followed by an asterisk (*) are no longer available from the United States Mint. Currently available US Mint products can be found online at http://catalog.usmint.gov/

Now what about the FS 2013?
Greetings,
“Large negative adjustments to many gold products”
As a collector of these products from the mint – one has to wonder WHY.
Z. Barolo:
US Mint management is also selling them in record low numbers in not one, not two, but three separate years, too.
While the US auction houses experience record sales $ numbers – heck, coin seller HA hit almost a BILLION dollars.
