The United States Mint has announced the design selections for the 2013 5 Star Generals Commemorative Coins. The program includes $5 gold coins, silver dollars, and clad half dollars issued in recognition of the United States Army 5-Star Generals George Marshall, Douglas MacArthur, Dwight Eisenhower, Henry Arnold, and Omar Bradley. Available in either proof or uncirculated versions, up to 100,000 $5 gold coins, 500,000 silver dollars, and 750,000 clad half dollars will be struck and issued by the United States Mint. Surcharges added to the price of each coin will be distributed to CGSC Foundation to help finance its activities in support of the college.

Nice designs and a sure winner for commemorative coins. They all deserve there
own seperate coin. The gold five dollar versions will be a sure knockout.
I really like the line art that is to produced for new coins to be shown in advance.
One wonders if these could be made available to collectors in some form. Many have budget constraints that keep them from buying a whole series. The art itself is a collectable.
