On September 6, 2018, at 12 noon (ET) the U.S. Mint is set to release the first American Palladium Eagle one-ounce Proof coin (18EK) geared to collectors. Each coin contains one troy ounce of .9995 palladium. The coins possess a reeded edge, and each one bears the “W” mint mark of the West Point Mint. The 2018 American Palladium Eagle one-ounce Proof coin has a mintage and product limit of 15,000 each, and orders are limited to one per household. The coins were minted at the West Point Mint in limited quantities as well.

The obverse features a high-relief depiction of the Winged Liberty design by Adolph A. Weinman, which was also displayed on the obverse of the Mercury dime. Inscriptions include LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, and the year 2018.
The reverse features a high-relief depiction of Adolph A. Weinman’s reverse design for the 1907 American Institute of Architects Gold Medal. Inscriptions include UNITED STATES of AMERICA, the face value of $25, the composition 1 OZ. Pd, .9995 FINE, and E PLURIBUS UNUM.
Each 2018 American Palladium Eagle one-ounce Proof coin is encapsulated in a leatherette presentation case and is lined with satin. Certificates of authenticity accompany the coins as well.
