US MINT…IS A JOKE…..HAD 1. IN MY BAG AT 12:01….THEN KEPT GETTING “””OOPS SOMETHING WENT WRONG”””…,, THEN 5 MINUTES LATER GOT TO ENTER MY CREDIT CARD INFO….THEN AGAIN””””OOPS SOMETHING WENT WRONG”””””A DOZEN MORE TIMES…WHAT A F…ING JOKE….BUT WHO IS SUPRISED THAT A GOVERNMENT RUN ENTITY IS A FARCE…..AND SOME OF THESE IDIOTS RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT WANT US TO PUT OUR HEALTHCARE SYSTEM IN THE HANDS OF THE GOVERNMENT….GOOD F’ING LUCK
Ken – ‘ditto’ Predicable As to Health care, you ever deal with Blue+ they are WORSE……way worse, Medicare HAS to pay privates prefer you to die….IMHO
I agree with you ken the mint is awful. I opened a account and had all of my info in the system I even ordered a coin that day to be prepared so when this coin went on sale I would have no problem. I was on my account 30 minutes before this coin went on sale and at 12 the site went down I was able to get back on real fast has a coin in my bag and it told me some crap about the card I was using as I was seeing what was going on it popped up it was sold out. And I had one in my bag
Site crashes on me also right at 12 noon. Sat for 30 minutes to push buy button. Could not refresh page for 12 minutes. Sold out. Very disappointed.
Same problem…figures…yet the big boys will have dozens of them…some things never change…
US Mint Web site just plain SUCKS.I had my coin in the bag and every time I went to put my card info in it crashed, oops we have a problem oops my ass.I really wanted this coin and I was denied again.I’m a good customer,I have numerous subscriptions and have spent a lot of money buying coins with the US mint.It might be time to go somewhere else for my coin hobby. This is definitely not the first time this has happened to me and others.Get your act together and fix that damned website or stop selling these high in demand coins. It’s not fair to people who are long time good customers.
Same problem, ridiculous that people on ebay can sell them as pre order, knowing there order is locked in, but the general public gets an OOPS something went wrong. Same issue over and over.
I went through the same oops stuff but did finally get my ONE Coin .. 12:01:13 was in my Bag .. took until 12:04:55 for confirmation at check out .. Confirmation e-mail arrived at 3:01 pm & I got the Loyalty Member FREE shipping (It pays to buy from the same computer with the same IP address)
I concur with all the complaints about the US Mint. I tried to get online but couldn’t. I also called the mint several times and the busy signal blurred every time.
I had the same problems as the previous commenters. The coin was in my cart and I could not get the complete sign until the sold out came on my desktop. I assumed it was my connection speed. But it looks like many others had the same problem. Buying the coin of EBay for hundreds of dollars will be a loser for many. This coin will never be worth the 1995-W dollar.
I had the same issues as most in trying to login, open the page for this coin, put it in my cart, confirm everything and then submit. Was stopped by “oops” every step of the way. Terrible e-commerce system. Surprised? Nope. Frustrated? yes. Must be the same folks who manage my local post office bc just trying to buy stamps is an ordeal. USMINT must be using an e-commerce system run off some guys old PC on Windows 3 rather than AWS servers and/or the code is so poorly written if needs to consult hamsters along the way. However I did get one according to the email and the order status. As for paying 69.95 for a 1 oz coin – Right now seems like a positive thing. Folks are bidding/paying bananas prices for it on eBay and Apmex is charging +$2K. Probably won’t stay that high but more likely higher than $69.95.
I feel that in the event of another extremely low mintage coin, that is bound to be extremely hard to get, that a lottery number draw is the only fair way to operate the sale. The phone or e servers had not a chance to keep up with the volume of interests o this coin. Seems to me that lottery draw is the only solution. Just MHO!!!
Same thing happened during the Baseball Hall of Fame coins but I was able to get through that time, this time it locked me out completely with error 1105 temporally locked out of usmint web site. The prices are too high and the service sucks!
