The third positioned photo was taken in 1960 and depicts the Queen in informal pose on the grounds of Balmoral, the Queen’s private estate in Scotland. The last image is of the Queen in the robes of the Order of the Garter which was also taken in 2008. To the right of the collection of photos is an insignia of the Queen’s anniversary date which reads “DIAMOND JUBILEE 1952 – 2012” in three lines with a crown above.
The obverse of the note is that of the currently circulating design which includes a portrait of Lord Ilay, first governor of the Royal Bank of Scotland. The note includes the date of “6th FEBRUARY 2012” which is the actual anniversary date of the Queen’s accession in 1952. The same anniversary insignia which appears on the reverse is also included just left of the watermark field.
