The Perth Mint of Australia has released their latest monthly sales figures for gold and silver sold as coins and minted products. Although total sales for each metal recorded a decline compared to the prior month, in both cases sales were above the levels from the year ago period.
For the month of November 2013, sales of god coins and minted products reached 52,700.23 troy ounces. This was down from the previous month when sales had reached 77,255.18 ounces. However, the latest monthly total was up by 10.13% compared to the year ago period of November 2012 when sales were 47,850.77 ounces.
For the year to date, gold sales have now reached 690,986.74 ounces.

Sales of silver coins and minted products reached 807,246.05 troy ounces for November 2013. This was a slight decline from the prior month when sales reached 821,579.77 ounces. Compared to the year ago period, the latest monthly total was up by 30.15%.
During the month, the Perth Mint began accepting orders for the 2013 Australian Silver Koala bullion coins. These were available in 1/2 oz, 1 oz, 10 oz, and 1 kilo sizes offered without maximum mintages.
For the calendar year to date, silver sales have now reached 7,762,901.99 troy ounces.
