Along with a 1933 Double Eagle, this gold set traveled through Europe with much fanfare in 2012.
Heritage Auctions is offering a historical U.S. gold type set, famous for a 2012 tour of Europe made alongside a 1933 Double Eagle. With all but one of the coins certified by Numismatic Guaranty Company (NGC), this set comprises 34 regular and commemorative issues.

1853 gold dollar graded NGC AU-58,

The set’s denominations range from a dollar to Double Eagle, and it is being sold intact (lot 3193). According to Heritage, the set comes with certifications and proof of ownership, distinguishing it as the same thirty-four pieces that accompanied the 1933 Double Eagle on the seven-country tour. (After the tour, the 1933 Double Eagle, which is worth millions of dollars, returned to the Smithsonian Institution, its permanent home).
