Canada: New premium bullion range introduces the Majestic Polar Bear gold and silver coins

The Royal Canadian Mint has launched a new range of gold and silver bullion collectable coins which focuses on Canadian wildlife and landscape. The Majestic Polar Bear is the first in a new line of premium bullion coins in special packaging that is produced with a guaranteed weight and “four nines” — 99.99% purity. There is no mightier symbol of Canada’s northern spirit and landscapes than the polar bear, which is now featured on this distinctive keepsake and offers some of the world’s purest silver at 99.99% fine in an easy-to-collect format. Designed for collectors and precious metal buyers alike, each of these Uncirculated bullion coins is specially packaged in a premium cardholder.

Designed by artist Glen Loates, the reverse depiction of a polar bear atop an iceberg is shared by both the gold and silver options. The coins’ weight, metal, and fineness are placed above the primary design with the text CANADA and year of issue 2022 placed beneath. The coin’s wildlife-themed reverse includes two special features: A “paw print” privy mark and vivid radial lines, which are integrated into the design.

The obverse depicts an effigy of HM Queen Elizabeth II created by Susanna Blunt along with a new sunburst background finish that adds amazing visual energy and acts as a security element to an already inspiring portrait.

Available in silver and gold, each Uncirculated premium bullion coin comes in an easy-to-collect format, specially handled during the manufacturing process and encapsulated into card packaging with coin specifications printed on the back of the card.
