The Whitman Coin Expo opens in the Baltimore Convention Center on Thursday and continues through Saturday. If you plan to attend and want to say hi to me, track me down on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday morning. No worries if you are a newcomer, and this is your first convention.
While you are there, check out the Colonial Coin Collectors Club (C4), which will be having its annual meeting. Founded in 1993, this is one of the most dynamic specialty groups in numismatics today. Stack’s Bowers Galleries, the official auctioneer, has created not one, not two, but—can you believe it?—seven catalogs! Whether you are starting a collection or adding to one, you can be sure to find some coins of interest. If you will not be attending the expo in person, you can still participate in real-time as our auction sessions will be live on the Internet. Check out the marvelous collection of William Leggett Bramhall—consigned by me. These are in an Internet-only section.
Also, Mary L. Martin and her son Joe will be setting up again in the bourse—with thousands of postcards for sale. Available will be copies of the book I co-authored with Mary, The Postcards of Alfred Mucha. If you buy a copy, both of us can autograph it for you.
All good wishes, and thank you for your interest.
Dave Bowers
