The U.S. Mint’s 2015 Presidential $1 Four-Coin Sets are now available. Collectors can choose from two sets containing each of the four 2015 Presidential dollars, made at either the Philadelphia or Denver Mints. Each set is available for $12.95 and there are no mintage limits in place for these products.
The obverses of the coins respectively feature portraits of Presidents Harry S. Truman, Dwight D. Eisenhower, John F. Kennedy, and Lyndon B. Johnson. Their names are inscribed along the rim of the design, along with the years they were in office, and IN GOD WE TRUST. The coins share a common reverse, which bears an image of the Statue of Liberty and the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and $1. E PLURIBUS UNUM and 2015 are also inscribed along the coins’ edges.
The Presidential dollars in these sets feature a circulating finish. A set of eight Uncirculated Presidential dollars (four each from the Philadelphia and Denver Mints) can also be purchased for $16.95. That item has sold 35,036 sets so far this year.
This coming Tuesday, October 27, the U.S. Mint will release the 2015 Lyndon B. Johnson Coin & Chronicles Set, which, in addition to a 1973 postage stamp and silver medal featuring the President, contains an exclusive Reverse Proof version of Johnson’s Presidential dollar.
