The U.S. Mint is now selling the 2015 Bombay Hook America the Beautiful Five Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coin, currently priced at $149.95. The coin measures three inches in diameter and is composed of silver that is 99.9% pure.
The Bombay Hook 5 oz. Uncirculated coin has a mintage limit of 20,000 pieces — 10,000 less than the 30,000-unit cap assigned to the three other 5 oz. Uncirculated issues released so far this year. Two weeks ago, the bullion version of the Bombay Hook 5 oz. coin saw its entire 45,000-unit allotment picked up by authorized purchasers in just a couple of days.
The Bombay Hook design is the fourth of five America the Beautiful designs to be issued in 2015. It was first issued as a circulating quarter on September 14, with a reverse featuring a great blue heron, a great egret, and the inscriptions BOMBAY HOOK, DELAWARE, 2015, and E PLURIBUS UNUM. The 5 oz. Uncirculated issues are minted in Philadelphia and feature a P mintmark on the obverse. The coin comes in a protective capsule that rests in a black presentation case; a certificate of authenticity is also included.
This is the final Bombay Hook ATB collector product release. Prior to today, the U.S. Mint released the Bombay Hook 5 oz. bullion coin, bags and rolls of Bombay Hook circulating quarters, and the Bombay Hook ATB Quarter 3-Coin Set.
