The United States Mint's numismatic product sales were mostly slower for the week, as collectors awaited the release of the first 2012-dated products.
The 2011 annual sets were broadly lower, with most of the products recording sales that were less than half of the prior week's total. For example, the 2011 Proof Set added just 2,801 this week, compared to sales of 6,891 in the previous week. The 2011 Silver Proof Set had sales of 1,782 compared to 4,573 last week, and the 2011 Uncirculated Set had sales of 1,539 compared to 3,869 last week.
Release dates for the 2012-dated full annual sets have not yet been announced, although release dates are known for some of the smaller sets containing only the quarters or $1 coins.
One of the only product lines to show gains compared to the prior week were the First Spouse Gold Coins. The most recently released Lucretia Garfield coins sold 188 across proof and uncirculated versions compared to 119 in the previous week. Across all available designs, there were 308 First Spouse coins sold, compared to 236 in the prior week.
The 2010-P Mount Hood National Forest Five Ounce Uncirculated Coins are now very close to a sell out. Sales have reached 26,831 out of the 27,000 maximum mintage.

The first number column represents total sales through the reporting date, and the second number column represents the change in sales since the last report. Despite the rise in silver prices, sales did not improve much for Olympic like I thought. Perhaps next week.
