The latest US Mint sales report shows a continuing slow down in the pace of sales for the recently released 2010 American Gold Buffalo Proof Coin. Debut sales figures for the Franklin Pierce Presidential Dollar Coin Cover are also included.
The 2010 Proof Gold Buffalo went on sale at the United States Mint on June 3, 2010. By June 13, 2010, sales of 17,465 coins had been recorded. In the following two weekly periods, sales of 2,054 and 1,540 were recorded. This week sales have slowed down even more to just 798 coins. After roughly one month of availability total sales have now reached 21,857. Last year's 2009 Proof Gold Buffalo had managed to sell 37,885 coins after one month's time.
Debut sales figures for the Franklin Pierce Presidential Dollar Coin Cover came in at 16,668. This continues the trend of gradually diminishing of sales for the American Presidency $1 Coin Cover series. The two prior releases had debut sales figures of 18,705 for the Zachary Taylor cover released on December 30, 2010 and 17,833 for the Millard Fillmore cover released on April 2, 2010.

The first number column indicates total sales through the reporting date and the second number column represents the change since the last report. Figures which are followed by an asterisk (*) are no longer available for sale at the US Mint.
