The latest weekly report of the United States Mint's numismatic product sales includes the debut figures for the recently released 2011-P Vicksburg Five Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coin and the 2012 America the Beautiful Quarters Silver Proof Set. Meanwhile, two older products have sold out.
The US Mint began sales of the Vicksburg National Military Park 5 oz. Silver Uncirculated Coins on January 12, 2012. The coins had the lowest initial pricing point for the numismatic series to date. Through the reporting date of January 17, 2012, sales have reached 7,861 units out of the 35,000 maximum mintage. This falls below the debut sales level for the previous release featuring Olympic National Park, which came in at 8,662.
On January 10, 2012, the US Mint began sales of the 2012 America the Beautiful Quarters Silver Proof Set. These sets contain the five latest quarter designs struck in 90% silver. Initial sales for the product have reached 61,181. This amount is below the debut figures for last year's set, which started at 78,054.
Within the sales reporting period, the Mount Hood National Forest 5 oz. Silver Uncirculated Coins sold out. These coins originally went on sale July 28, 2011, priced at $279.95 and remained available through two downward pricing adjustments. The last reported sales are 26,928. With this sell out, all of the 2010-dated numismatic ATB Five Ounce Silver Coins have sold out.
Around mid-day yesterday, the 2011-W Uncirculated Gold Eagle sold out. The sales figures for the product according to this report are 8,810. This number is significant as it may represent a new mintage low across all versions of the American Gold Eagle. It is possible that this may be the last sales figure the US Mint provides, or another figure may be provided next week. Final audited mintage figures generally aren't available for months or years after the actual sell out.
The complete US Mint numismatic product sales report appears below. The figures are compiled through January 17, 2012. The first number column represents total sales through the reporting date, and the second number column represents the change in sales since the last report. Products with sales followed by an asterisk (*) are no longer available from the United States Mint. Products listed in bold make their debut on this report. Currently available US Mint products can be found online at http://catalog.usmint.gov/

I know it would be a lot of work, but it would be interesting if you could publish a complete set of mintage numbers on all the gold, silver and platinum products since 1986 when these products were first offered.
Leo,
These numbers are available on the Mint website and other sites:
http://www.usmint.gov/mint_programs/
and / or
http://goldeagleguide.com/
http://silvereagleguide.com/
http://platinumeagleguide.com/
where can i view the mint’s audit summary online other than this website?
I’ve noticed the sales for the 2011 S Silver Proof Set have been dropping drastically. This past week none were sold. Any ideas as to when the mint may suspend sales of this set permanently or will they go for a complete sellout? Is it possible that unsold sets would be melted?
This week, the US Mint did not provide an updated number for the 2011 Silver Proof Set. Sometimes they inadvertently leave something off the report.
Andrew-

I’d thought the unique design of Vicksburg and the small surge we’ve been getting in silver might give sales a little shot in the arm. Apparently not. Wonder how low sales will be for Chickasaw.
I would be surprised if the Mint struck any more than 20,000 each of the Vicksburg and Chickasaw 2011 P 5 oz. coins. Of course, I guess the possibility exists that each 2011 design was minted many months ago at the 35,000 level, before it became apparent that interest was dropping. If the last two were struck late in the year however, I would think the 20,000 level would probably be deemed high enough by the Mint’s sales forecasts.
I did go ahead and buy one of the APMEX “Mint Direct” sealed tubes of the Chickasaw bullion 5 oz. coins a few days ago. It is the lowest-minted bullion coin for 2011 (and the series thus far), with a paltry 26,800 sold. I figured outside of a complete silver collapse, there wasn’t much downside to owning a few of those coins. Future buyers might like to get an unsearched, sealed tube of that design.
So the 2008 W Silver Eagle has a lower mintage than the 2006 W Silver Eagle overall?
No, the 2008-W was also included in the 2008 Annual Uncirculated $1 Coin Set, so you have to also take those numbers into account.
For figures which include the total from all multi-coin and ancillary sets, refer to the mintage figures provided in the “Guide sites” linked in an earlier comment from SFS.
Wow! That is PALTRY for Vicksburg 5oz. coin. Looks like each succeeding 2011 release has sold less in the opening week than the one before it. I had guesstimated 9-10K in part due to the novelty of the coin design as an interesting historic souvenir, as the Civil War’s sesquicentennial began last year and will cointinue through the spring of 2015. Doesn’t bode well for Chickasaw, nor the 2012 releases should they be issued.
