The United States Mint has begun sales of the America the Beautiful Quarters Three Coin Set featuring Olympic National Park. This is one of several numismatic products created for the program, which features representations of a National Park or site from each of states, territories, and District of Columbia on the reverse design of the quarter dollar.
The Olympic National Park Quarter depicts a Roosevelt elk standing on a gravel river bar of the Hoh River with mount Olympus in the background. The design is by Susan Gamble with engraving by Michael Gaudioso.
Each three coin set includes an uncirculated quarter from the Philadelphia Mint, and uncirculated quarter from the Denver Mint, and a proof quarter from the San Francisco Mint. The coins are mounted to a plastic card which includes a description of the site and the coin, as well as certificate of authenticity on the back. The sets are priced at $14.95 each.
