The United States Mint will begin sales of numismatic bags and rolls of the Mount Hood National Park Quarter today November 15, 2010 at 12:00 Noon ET. This will coincide with the official circulation release date for the latest coin in the America the Beautiful Quarters Program.
The program features a National Park or site from each of the fifty states, five U.S. territories, and the District of Columbia presented in the order federally designated. Five different designs will be released each year from 2010 to 2020, with one final design released in 2021.
Mount Hood will be the fifth site depicted on the quarter series, following Hot Springs National Park in Arkansas, Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming, Yosemite National Park in California, and Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona.
The United States Mint numismatic bags and rolls contain circulating quality coins in US Mint branded packaging. The Mount Hood National Forest Quarter two roll sets include one 40-coin roll each from the Philadelphia and Denver Mints priced at $32.95 per set. The bags include 100 coins from either the Philadelphia or Denver Mint priced at $35.95 each. The coin wrappers or labels affixed to the bags indicate the site, state abbreviation, face value, and mint.
These products may be purchased from the United States Mint online at http://catalog.usmint.gov. Availability is expected to be one year from the initial product release date.
