U.S. Mint bullion sales for November ended with a bang when the 2015 American Eagle Silver bullion coin surpassed 2014’s all-time high of 44,006,000 ounces sold. That record has since been stretched to 45,786,000 ounces, with next week’s allocation set to be the last of the year. Sales for 2016 American Eagle bullion coins will begin on January 11.
The following chart lists bullion sales for the month of November. The first column lists the type of coin, the second column includes sales for the month, and the third lists all sales for the year through November 30. An exception has been made for the ATB 5 oz. coins, as the Saratoga bullion issue was sold exclusively on November 30 and December 1; it seemed impertinent to leave the sales total incomplete, even though some of those sales technically occurred in December. The November 30 total for the Saratoga 5 oz. bullion coin was 35,800 pieces.
