NGC and the NSDR share the goal of increasing interest in vintage silver dollars.
Numismatic Guaranty Company (NGC) is pleased to announce that the National Silver Dollar Roundtable (NSDR) has extended its collaboration with NGC, which will continue to serve as the NSDR’s official grading service. Founded in 1982, the NSDR is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the knowledge of U.S. silver dollars.
NGC has graded nearly five million vintage U.S. silver dollars, almost 10% of the 53 million coins certified by NGC worldwide. Founded in 1987, NGC has become the leading third-party grader in silver dollar certification.
NGC has also made a wealth of information about silver dollars available on its website, NGCcoin.com, including the popular Morgan and Peace dollars. The NGC Census, NGC Coin Explorer, and U.S. Coin Price Guide are among the free tools available online to collectors.
“We are honored to continue our partnership with the NSDR,” says Mark Salzberg, chairman of NGC and a life member of the NSDR. “The organization has a strong commitment to serving collectors by advancing the knowledge of numismatics. This is especially important now, given the heightened interest in Morgan and Peace dollars following the issuance of the 100th-anniversary coins.”
“We are happy to continue working with NGC,” says Don Rinkor, president of the NSDR. “The goals of NGC align with our mission to increase interest in coin collecting and provide more education within the hobby.”
NGC has also been the Official Grading Service of the American Numismatic Association (ANA) since 1995 and the Professional Numismatists Guild (PNG) since 2004.
