I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of our readers who have visited Coin Update this year a very happy holiday season. Christmas and the New Year seem to always arrive so soon and leave us all too quickly. This is a wonderful time to spend with family and friends, and at the same time, reflect on the year gone by and look forward to the year ahead.
I would also like to thank all of our readers who have taken the time to send me messages of their appreciation and kind comments over the year. It has been my great pleasure to include information about new coins and bank notes as well as regular developments in the numismatic world and interviews with those people who have made a contribution regarding the hobby or activity we all have in common: Coin collecting and investing.
I would also like to thank our parent company Whitman Publishing for their commitment to numismatics and the invaluable reference material available from their company — in addition to this online bulletin.
2018 will be a very significant year for many countries around the world: In Europe we will see many coins issued to mark centenary anniversaries of independence and statehood, the centenary anniversary of the end of the First World War, a coronation in Thailand, royal birthdays, as well as significant anniversaries for national mints — just to mention a few.
Again, to all our dedicated readers around the world, have a safe Christmas and New Year. We look forward to bringing you the latest articles, interviews, and insights for coin lovers — wherever you are!
