On Wednesday, July 17, at 9:30 a.m. (EDT), the Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee (CCAC) held a meeting to review and discuss designs for upcoming 2020 Basketball Hall of Fame commemorative coins by the Mint. Submissions were advised to be made “emblematic of the game of basketball.” The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Commemorative Coin Act (Public Law 115-343) authorized the Mint to create domed clad half-dollar, $1 silver, and $5 gold coins. Below are the various proposed designs for the obverse of the 2020 Basketball Hall of Fame commemorative coins. Let us know in the comments which designs you would choose for the obverse!
