The George Rogers Clark National Historical Park 2017 Quarter, Three-Coin Set is scheduled to go on sale on November 27 at noon on the Mint’s website. There is no household order, product, or mintage limit on the set. Additionally, the set is also available for Product Enrollment. The item number is 17AH and the set includes Uncirculated versions from the Philadelphia and Denver mints and a Proof version from the San Francisco Mint.
The obverse of each coin features the 1932 portrait of George Washington by John Flanagan with the “P,” “D,” or “S” mintmark for the Philadelphia, Denver, and San Francisco mints, respectively.
The reverse of each coin features George Rogers Clark leading his men toward Fort Sackville with the inscriptions GEORGE ROGERS CLARK, INDIANA, 2017, and E PLURIBUS UNUM. The reverse was designed by Frank Morris, Artistic Infusion Program designer, and engraved by Michael Gaudioso, U.S. Mint sculptor-engraver.
The three coins are held in a strong plastic card and are presented in packaging that features a high-quality photo of George Rogers Clark National Historical Park. Each set comes with a description of the coin and the park along with a certificate of authenticity.
