On December 4, 2012, the United States Mint began accepting orders for the America the Beautiful Quarters Three Coin Set featuring Denali National Park and Preserve. This is one of several numismatic product offerings created to showcase the America the Beautiful Quarters, which feature a national park or site from each state, territory, and the District of Columbia.
Each three coin set includes one uncirculated quarter from the Philadelphia Mint with “P” mint mark, one uncirculated quarter from the Denver Mint with “D” mint mark, and one proof quarter from the San Francisco Mint with “S” mint mark. The three coins are mounted on a plastic card which contains a color illustration on the front and a description of the park and certificate of authenticity on the back.
The Denali National Park Quarter features a depiction of a Dall sheep with Mount McKinley rising in the background. This was designed by Susan Gamble and sculpted by Jim Licaretz. The obverse contains the 1932 portrait of George Washington by John Flanagan.
The Denali Three Quarter Set is priced at $9.95 plus applicable shipping and handling. The US Mint has not indicated a maximum product limit or established any household limits. Orders may be placed online at http://catalog.usmint.gov.
