NGC has various designations and labels available for the coins and medals being released at the World’s Fair of Money in Chicago in August 2019. Special submission instructions must be followed. See the “Submission Instructions” section of this article.
NGC will offer the First Day of Issue, First Day — ANA and Chicago ANA Releases designations for qualifying coins submitted to NGC at the ANA World’s Fair of Money, August 13-17, 2019. Special submission instructions must be followed.
The U.S. Mint has three releases at the show: The 2018 American Innovation Reverse Proof $1 (August 14), the 2019 American Liberty 24K gold coin (August 15), and the 2019 American Liberty silver medal (August 15).
NGC, the official grading service of the American Numismatic Association (ANA) since 1995, will offer an exclusive ANA certification label for qualifying coins. The label features the ANA logo and its Lamp of Knowledge member logo.
The NGC ANA label is available for coins that are purchased at the ANA show and are submitted with the original Mint purchase receipt. The label is free by request when one of these designations is selected (+$15):
First Day of Issue Designation
Available for coins purchased on the first day of sales and submitted to NGC at the ANA show on that same day.
First Day — ANA Designation
Available for coins purchased on the first day of sales at the ANA show and submitted to NGC at the ANA show on that same day. The submissions must be accompanied by the original Mint purchase receipt.
Chicago ANA Releases Designation
Available for coins purchased at the ANA show August 13-17 and submitted to NGC at the ANA show. The submissions must be accompanied by the original Mint purchase receipt. This designation applies to both U.S. and world coins.
The First Day of Issue, First Day — ANA and Philadelphia ANA Releases designations will be listed separately in the online NGC Census.

The U.S. Mint will be releasing an American Innovation Reverse Proof $1 at the ANA show.
Submission Instructions
- Submit coins and medals under the Modern grading tier or higher.
- If you submit the coin or medal in its original Mint packaging and would like the Mint packaging returned, select the “Return Mint Packaging” box of the NGC Submission Form. The fee is $5 plus the cost of shipping.
- Note: All submissions will be sent to NGC’s headquarters in Sarasota, Florida, for grading unless an on-site grading tier is selected. For details about submitting at the Chicago show, click here.
The following designations are available for coins and medals released at the Chicago show (Select one):
