The United States Mint has started accepting orders for the Chester Arthur Presidential Dollar Coin Cover. This is the twenty first release of the American Presidency $1 coin Cover series, which began in 2007.
Although the new releases of the Presidential Dollar Program are no longer issued for circulation, the US Mint continues to produce limited quantities of the coins for direct sale to collectors in rolls or within numismatic products including the First Day Coin Covers.
The Chester Arthur $1 Coin Cover includes two examples of the coin that are sourced from the first day of production at the Philadelphia Mint on January 11, 2012 and from the first day of production at the Denver Mint on December 22, 2011. The two coins are mounted on a display card that contains a 45-cent Weather Vane postage stamp with a post mark of March 13, 2012, Fairfield, VT.
A production limit of 22,000 units applies to this release. The covers are priced at $19.95 each and may be purchased online at http://catalog.usmint.gov/
