The United States Mint has started accepting orders for circulating quality Chaco Culture National Historical Park Quarters bearing the “S” mint mark. This product follows the release of El Yunque National Forest Quarters last month, which had represented the first circulating quality coins to bear the “S” mint mark in more than three decades.
The new product line was developed by the Mint since feedback from customers indicated that therewas always great anticipation with products that had the “S” mint mark. As an added benefit, some additional visibility would be provided to the America the Beautiful Quarters Program, which will highlight a national park or site in each state, territory, and the District of Columbia with five designs released per year until 2021.
Products available within the current release include 100-coin bags and 40-coin rolls, which contain circulating quality 2012-S Chaco Culture Quarters. The packaging carries an indication of the site name, state abbreviation, mint mark, and face value. The 100-coin bags are priced at $34.95, and the 40-coin rolls are priced at $18.95.
There are no household ordering limits or maximum production limits in place. The US Mint plans to have the products remain available for one year from the original release date. For orders or additional information visit http://catalog.usmint.gov/
