The following is a list of artist submissions for the 2020 Air Force medal that were reviewed at the October 16, 2018, Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee (CCAC) meeting. Additional designs that were reviewed and discussed during the meeting were the 2021-2025 American Platinum Eagle coin series, 2021-2022 Native American $1 coins, and the 2020 Coast Guard medal. Another great opportunity, but they will be politically correct and pick the ugliest design available…. Therefore killing this opportunity and proving they have no business in the business world, oh well. The American people have lost faith in the Mint designs and their knowledge of what the PEOPLE really want.
Boring. After seeing these proposed coins a person may conclude that the Air Force is made up of nothing but fighter jets and women pilots that fly over and around national symbols. Perhaps the CCAC should take a tour of a few air force bases to see the blood, sweat, and tears that dedicated airman put in everyday to make the Air Force what it is. You have one chance on a little coin to make a difference, yet the only thing you have to show for it is the same old tired symbols.
