The Royal Canadian Mint has launched a new range of gold and silver Maple Leaf bullion quality coins suitable for gift-giving throughout the year. The new range offers a practical and convenient way to give pure gold or silver with new 2022-dated premium bullion in special packaging products. Collectors and gift-givers can mark life’s special moments with the choice of a 1/10-ounce gold Maple Leaf or a one-ounce silver Maple Leaf — both with the face value of $5 Uncirculated bullion coin presented in a specially designed gift card folder. These products are designed to suit every taste and occasion from celebrating the arrival of a new baby, birthdays, weddings, graduations, or anniversaries. A special presentation has also been included in celebration of the Lunar New Year.
The premium bullion in special packaging products feature the Mint’s genuine, world-renowned silver and gold Maple Leaf bullion coins in bullion quality Uncirculated condition. The silver coin is struck in one ounce of 99.99% pure silver and enhanced with cutting-edge security features, including a micro-engraved security mark and radial lines. The 1/10-ounce gold coin is struck in 3.11 grams of 99.99% pure gold and features a complex array of radial lines on its obverse and reverse. Each gold and silver coin also features bullion DNATM anti-counterfeiting technology and Mintshield surface protection.
The reverse of both coins feature the signature sugar maple leaf design created in 1979 by former Master Engraver Walter Ott, while the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, designed by artist Susanna Blunt, is included on the obverse.
The 2022 $5 one-ounce pure silver Maple Leaf coin is available in three distinct packaging styles such as Congratulations, Happy Birthday, or Lunar New Year. The 2022 $5 1/10-ounce pure gold Maple Leaf coin is available in Congratulations or Lunar New Year packaging. Each folder includes a dedicated space that can be used to personalize the gift by writing a special message inside the card folder.
