On July 16 at noon, the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) will release the Apollo 11 50th Anniversary Currency Set (B15054). The set has a mintage limit of 6,000, a product limit of 5,300, and a household order limit of 10. Each set contains a Series 2013 $50 Uncirculated note that has a serial number beginning with “1969.” Sets are produced at Fort Worth, Texas, and at Washington, D.C. The set is priced at $85.95 when ordered alone, but on orders of 10 or more, it is discounted to $82.95.
Each Series 2013 $50 Uncirculated note is protected in a clear, acid-free polymer sleeve and is presented in a themed folder. The engraved print includes a limited edition number which matches the last four digits of the serial number on the accompanying $50 Uncirculated note.
