Details are now available on the release of the numismatic versions of the America the Beautiful Silver Bullion Coins. The first release will feature the Hot Springs National Park design, followed by separate releases for the other 2010 designs.
These collector coins feature the same design and specifications as the 5 oz. bullion version, but carry an uncirculated finish and include the “P” mint mark. As numismatic products, the coins will be sold directly by the United States Mint.
The numismatic version of the 2010 Hot Springs America the Beautiful Silver Bullion Coin will be released on April 28, 2011. Newly available products typically go on sale at 12:00 Noon ET and can be ordered from the US Mint online at http://catalog.usmint.gov or by phone at 1-800-USA-MINT.
Pricing for the coin has been set at $279.95. The US Mint has indicated that the price is subject to change based on the underlying price of silver. A household limit of only one coin per design will be imposed.
Previously available information indicates that the collector versions of the coins have a mintage of 27,000 for each of the 2010 designs. This compares to a higher mintage of 33,000 per design for the bullion versions. Each coin will be encapsulated in plastic and placed within a presentation case with a certificate of authenticity signed by the United States Mint Director.
Separately, the US Mint has indicated the upcoming availability of presentation cases (not including coins). These could be used for bullion versions of the coins, which may be distributed without protective packaging. A lot of 25 cases will be offered for sale at $86.95.
