The Mint’s 2018 American Eagle one-ounce silver Proof coin (18EM) is scheduled to go on sale on August 14, 2018, at 12 noon (ET) on the Mint’s website. The coins possess no product, mintage, or household order limits and feature the classic Lady Liberty design on the obverse in a stunning Proof finish. Each coin is minted at the San Francisco Mint and bears the respective “S” mint mark of the Mint as well. The 2018 American Silver Eagle Proof coin contains one troy ounce of .999 fine silver and features a reeded edge. The coin is expected to do well in sales, given the current popularity of silver in the market and this particular coin’s history as being a collector favorite.

The obverse of the coin features Adolph A. Weinman’s design of a full-length liberty in stride, holding branches of oak and laurel in her left hand while extending out her right. Inscriptions include LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, and the year 2018.
The reverse features a heraldic eagle and shield, holding arrows in its left talon and an olive branch in its right. Inscriptions include UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, the denomination, ONE DOLLAR, and composition, 1 OZ. FINE SILVER.
